  • Millennials and the Future of Journalism
    July 17, 2019
    6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Even as the American press exercises their First Amendment right to tell the stories that are impacting society, the journalism industry has also been under attack in recent years for weaving narratives that have been accused of being “fake news.”

With the emergence of various digital media platforms, methods in which Americans obtain their news has seismically shifted from reading the daily newspaper each morning. How will modern day journalists adapt to changing news platforms in the future? What is it like working in an industry that prides itself on delivering the truth, though is constantly under fire for doing the opposite? Who are the young voices in media that will go on to report tomorrow’s biggest stories?

Join an expert panel of millennial journalists as they discuss their contributing roles to the world of media, industry hurdles, evolving news platforms, and the future of journalism.

Panelists Include:
Brianna Sacks, News Reporter, BuzzFeed
Olivia Smith, Good Morning America Digital & ABC News, Producer/Reporter
