• THLA Young Professional Roundtable | Emily Sears: Model & Activist
    March 19, 2019
    6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Model and Activist, Emily Sears, has made a name for herself in print campaigns, film, and television, but it is perhaps her social media networks for which she is the most famous. Rising to prominence as a glamour, lingerie, & fashion model, Emily began leveraging her large social media following to shed light on relevant and timely topics close to her heart, particularly women’s and social issues.

While she may have originally gained an audience because of her modeling career, Emily has proven that she’s not just “a face.” She has used her powerful influence and voice to affect change and be vocal about equality between men and women, social media bullying, and human rights.

In conversation with Moderator Kyle Langan, Emily will discuss the dynamic juxtaposition of being a fashion model and an activist, and how she’s shifting paradigms and changing culture for women everywhere. Or, as she likes to say, how she’s being a successful “feminist in underpants.”
