AUTHOR AND COMEDIAN, LEWIS BLACK SPEAKS WITH JOEL STEIN AT TOWN HALL LA

Los Angeles, CA ??" Monday, June 9, 2008 ??" Lewis Black, author and comedian, will speak with writer Joel Stein on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Writers Guild Theater as a part of TOWN HALL???s ongoing Writers Bloc series.

Black???s latest work, ???Me of Little Faith, is an exploration of the effects of religion and faith on his life. In more than two dozen essays that investigate everything from the differences between how Christians and Jews celebrate their holidays, to the politics of faith, to people's individual search for transcendence, Black explores his unique odyssey through religion and belief.

Black performs over 200 nights a year to sold-out audiences throughout Europe, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. He continues to perform ???Back in Black on ???The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and won a Grammy award for Best Comedy Album in 2007.

Stein began his career as a writer and researcher for ???Martha Stewart Living. Stein joined TIME in August 1997. He gained notice for his celebrity Q&As and for his anecdotal humor columns. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Stein taught a humor writing class at Princeton.
