The Honorable Harry Reid, United States Senator, Nevada (D) and Senate Majority Leader, will speak with Rob Reiner, activist and filmmaker, on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at UCLA???s James Bridges Theater as a part of TOWN HALL???s ongoing Writers Bloc series.

Reid has served in the US Senate since 1986, where he has held the positions of Senate Democratic Whip and Minority Whip. Currently, he is a member of the Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Committee on Rules and Administration.
Reiner, known for directing successful films in the 1980s and 90s, is also a contributing blogger to The Huffington Post. In 1998, Reiner chaired the campaign to pass Prop 10, the California Children and Families Initiative, which created First 5 California. He served as Chairman of First 5 California from 1999 to 2006.
