Did you know Town Hall Los Angeles records and transcribes all its speeches?
Many are currently available on DVD or CD, and hundreds more are transcribed. If you see a quote you like in Town Hall History, ask us for a copy of the full-transcript.
Unfortunately, many speeches spanning our 70-year history are contained in books of original Town Hall Journals. Still more exist on cassette tape. In anticipation of our 70th Anniversary, we will digitize all our assets - including speaker correspondence files containing decades of letters between Town Hall and notable figures such as Donald Rumsfeld and Gore Vidal - to make them available to our members and the public.
Over the next year, audio and video of Town Hall programs will be pod-cast. Members will receive these programs as a benefit of membership.
In the interim, please visit our speech archive, quotes by the decades, peruse event photos, or visit LA 36 to stream past programs.
We are currently seeking sponsorship to underwrite the digitizing of volumes of Los Angeles and national history contained within Town Hall.
