MARCH 22 WORLD WATER DAY CONFERENCE AND THE FUTURE OF LOS ANGELES WATER SOURCES

Los Angeles, CA – Thursday, March 8, 2012 – “Dry Winter? Where Will Our Water Come From?” is the topic of a noon luncheon panel discussion presented by Town Hall Los Angeles in partnership with the California Water Environmental Association, Los Angeles Basin Section (CWEA-LABS), as part of the morning conference for World Water Day, Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
 
A 2010 environmental report rated Los Angeles as the city with the greatest chance of running out of water. California’s uncertain and limited water supply – exacerbated by the state’s growing population – compels sustainable, alternative solutions for residents of semiarid Los Angeles County, which comprises a quarter of the state’s population.
 
Industry experts will evaluate future water sources for the region. Members of the Los Angeles community are welcome to participate in the following conference schedule:
