Timothy J. Noonan
Timothy Noonan is a 30-year veteran in the commercial insurance industry who has served in executive leadership positions for some of the world’s largest insurance brokerages including Jardine Insurance Brokers (now Jardine Lloyd Thompson), a division of Jardine Matheson, a multi-billion dollar international corporation. Currently, he is president and chief executive officer of Lockton Insurance Brokers, LLC, the Pacific Series of Lockton Companies. Lockton is the largest independent, privately owned, global insurance broker that employs more than 4,950 professionals and serves 35,000 clients around the world with insurance, benefits, and risk management services.
Mr. Noonan is a recognized leader in the industry and one of the top producing commercial insurance professionals in the nation, personally managing an ongoing book of business, while providing strategic leadership to the company at large. Over the decades, Mr. Noonan and his associates have developed avant-garde insurance and risk management programs for middle market to Fortune 500 companies across diversified industries, including some of the nation’s foremost private equity and alternative asset management firms.
A member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) since 1997, Mr. Noonan has held various leadership positions with the global leadership network, including Network Chair for YPO International, Chapter Chair, Chapter Vice Chairman, Chapter Education Chair, Executive Committee Member and Board Member of the Los Angeles Chapter (YPOLA). He is now a member of the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO), Angeleno and Los Angeles chapters.
Mr. Noonan is a long-serving advocate of public service and community involvement. He has advised various public commissions and committees, including the Workers’ Compensation Task Force, which resulted in major legislative changes in the workers’ compensation industry, and the Rampart Independent Review Panel, investigating the practices of the Los Angeles Police Department. He was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as chairman of the California State Athletic Commission to ensure the health, safety and welfare of participants in regulated combative sports events.
Currently, he is a trustee of the ALS Association Golden West Chapter; Vision to Learn, a public-private partnership delivering vision care to elementary school students in need; and the UCLA Longevity Center, dedicated to improving quality of life for older adults through Alzheimer’s as well as other age-related memory loss research and education. With its interdisciplinary support from foremost UCLA specialists, the Center builds on UCLA’s recognized excellence in geriatric care. Its geriatrics program has been named by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top in the nation for 20 years.
Mr. Noonan also serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, and was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for Phoenix Houses of California after serving 8 years as chair of its finance committee. Under his leadership, Phoenix House has taken major steps to strengthen the organization’s core management and internal quality control processes, improve clinical efficiency, and raise the level of care for clients in treatment as well as stakeholder collaboration and client outcomes. Other key appointments include serving in leadership positions for The Help Group—the nation’s largest, most innovative nonprofit of its kind, serving children with special needs.
