Bruce J. Piller
Regional Managing Partner
Bruce Piller is based in Los Angeles and is the Regional Managing Partner for the Western Region of the U.S. He is responsible for overall operations and results, including financial performance, employee satisfaction, audit quality, client satisfaction and community involvement. Bruce is also the partner-in-charge of the Pacific Southwest business unit. Bruce has over 30 years of experience.
Professional and Industry Experience
Bruce joined KPMG in 1980 and was admitted into the partnership in 1991. He has worked in the Dallas, Chicago, and Los Angeles offices. Bruce has held numerous leadership positions in the firm, including campus recruiting leader; leader of the manufacturing, retailing, and distribution practice; partner in charge of the Audit practices for Dallas, Chicago, and Los Angeles; Chicago Office Managing Partner; Midwest Area Managing Partner; and West Regional Managing Partner.
Bruce has extensive experience working with a wide range of companies in multiple industries. His project experience includes serving as an adviser regarding financial, accounting, SEC Reporting and business matters, and also advising on acquisitions and divestitures. Bruce has an extensive international network with significant experience coordinating global projects and activities. He serves or has served on a number of KPMG national committees, is an instructor for selected KPMG national training courses, and is a frequent speaker at KPMG and civic events.
Bruce is actively involved in corporate governance initiatives. He is an active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and is a frequent moderator and speaker at KPMG Audit Committee Institute roundtables and conferences. Bruce brings his knowledge and insight to the boardroom through his participation in numerous audit committee meetings.

Bruce has always been actively involved in the communities in which he lives, holding several different board positions. Before moving to Los Angeles in 2013, he was serving on the Board of directors of several organizations in Chicago, including the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, Junior Achievement of Chicago, The John G. Shedd Aquarium and the Lyric Opera.
