LOS ANGELES COUNCILMAN BILL ROSENDAHL SPEAKS TO TOWN HALL LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles, CA ??" Wednesday, June 13, 2007 ??" The Honorable Bill Rosendahl, Councilmember, Eleventh District, City of Los Angeles, will speak at Town Hall???s Clubhouse with its members and concerned citizens on Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Angelenos are invited to ask Rosendahl questions regarding growing traffic concerns and increased housing construction in his district.

 

In 2007, Rosendahl introduced a motion exploring the idea of linking east-west mass transit lines. He said, ???When it comes to mass transit and fighting gridlock, we cannot think piecemeal. We need a coordinated, comprehensive long-range strategy.???

 

Los Angeles Eleventh District includes the coastal communities extending from Westchester to Pacific Palisades. The district, home to Los Angeles International Airport, universities, museums and theaters, is the wealthiest in the city.

 

As he spoke about the loss of rent controlled units to condos and mini mansions in his district he explained, ???We are losing the middle class in the Eleventh District, and we???re not going to tolerate it anymore.
