GENERAL OBJECTIVES

Over the last three years, TOWN HALL Los Angeles has welcomed leaders across the spectrum of health care. They were practitioners, heads of the country’s best hospitals, CEOs of the largest health care providers, representatives from the National Institutes of Health and nonprofit coalitions, and they all said the same thing " we must reform our health care system if our country is going to remain solvent, advance wellness and treat ailing citizens with dignity.

Given our mission of convening leaders and stakeholders to address our most pressing issues, we are producing a one-day conference on health care reform, and information technology. The conference will take place in Los Angeles, California, on May 22, 2009 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica. Health care reform is as critical for our region as it is for our nation. The conference will consist of a morning panel, a luncheon keynote speaker, and two afternoon panels. The day will end with a hosted cocktail reception, ideal for continuing the discussion and making new connections.

CONFERENCE GOAL

The goal of this conference is to facilitate open discussion of critical issues and possible solutions for reforming the current health care system.

AUDIENCE

Stakeholders in the health care industry from providers to practitioners, human resource directors with emphasis on companies having less than 250 employees, the local business community, members and invitees of participating organizations, the public-at-large and targeted media.
