Come meet one of the 2013 Los Angeles mayoral candidates.

Austin Beutner, Mayoral Candidate 2013 - City of Los Angeles, will speak to Town Hall Los Angeles on Thursday, January 19th at 11:30 AM. His speech, "Los Angeles: Back to Work," is his first address on job creation and economic development.

Austin Beutner is the former First Deputy Mayor and Chief Executive for Economic and Business Policy. On an annual salary of $1, Beutner worked to bring business back to Los Angeles and make changes in the city government to re-invigorate local business. He also served as interim General Manager of the LADWP during this time. Beutner spent his early career in the financial industry after graduating from Dartmouth College with a degree in Economics. At 29, he became the youngest person to become a partner at The Blackstone Group. He later co-founded Evercore Partners, an investment banking firm, with former Deputy Treasury Secretary Roger Altman. Beutner also served in the US Department of State during the Clinton Administration to help Russia's government transition to a market economy.
